Procurement of a Hemodialysis Machine for the “V. Rudnev Mother and Child Medical Center” (Dnipro)

The main goal of this project is to improve medical care for children and adults at the Rudnev Hospital in Dnipro by supplying an acute hemodialysis machine (for acute kidney failure). Unfortunately, the hospital receives an average of 2–3 patients daily with gunshot wounds and limb injuries. After prolonged use of a tourniquet, such patients often develop acute kidney failure and require hemodialysis. In addition, patients with septic complications frequently need renal replacement therapy. This device will help save lives and support the recovery of up to fifteen patients per month.

Project Goal:
To ensure high-quality and timely medical care for children and mothers in need of hemodialysis procedures by acquiring a modern device for vital blood purification treatments.

Relevance:
Today, in Ukraine — and particularly in the Dnipropetrovsk region — the number of patients suffering from kidney failure and requiring regular hemodialysis is increasing. The “V. Rudnev Mother and Child Medical Center” is a leading institution providing highly specialized care to children with complex medical conditions. The lack of sufficient modern equipment limits the hospital’s ability to provide timely treatment to everyone who needs it.

Project Objectives:

• Purchase a modern hemodialysis machine certified for pediatric use.

• Ensure access to high-quality treatment for young patients with chronic kidney failure.

• Reduce the risk of complications and improve treatment effectiveness.

Expected Outcomes:

• Improved level of medical care for children and mothers requiring hemodialysis.

• Expanded hospital capacity to treat more patients simultaneously.

• Enhanced quality of life for patients and their families.

Community Impact:
The purchase of a hemodialysis machine will help save children’s lives and support their families during difficult times. The project will contribute to the development of pediatric medicine in the Dnipropetrovsk region and bring lasting positive changes to the healthcare system.
